Gerard Zwerver

 

Gerard is the owner of Team Impact Journeys, facilitating change at personal-, team-, organizational- and community levels. Basic principles: lead by example / keep it simple / one day at a time.


Gerard has a broad experience in healthcare management and development work in the Netherlands and abroad. As a social entrepreneur, he is focused on Community Development and prefers to support people, teams, and groups in society. By profession, he is a nurse, community health officer, and international developer.

 

In Afghanistan he helped to set up Mirwais Hospital after renovation, in Cameroon he renovated a prison, carried out a rural 'Health System Research' and realized 6 Community Health Centres, and in India, he worked for women's rights together with the Nirbhaya Jyoti Trust and is co-founder of the Pooja Kajal Foundation.

He helped to set up an agricultural development project in Bafoussam, Cameroon and is presently enhancing tourism in the Maasai Mara, Kenya with the aim of fostering social entrepreneurship and community empowerment.

​

Within the aforementioned work situations, Gerard is or has been working as a researcher, team coach- and manager.

He has extensive experience in Dutch long-term care, both as a care provider and team coach- and manager as well.
